Chicago Tourist Information - Chicago is one of the largest cities and by making the tourist office one of the first stops on your list you’ll be garnering a lot of information about the city. There are many brochures and maps that will make getting around the city a lot easier. Ask the tourist office employees to recommend the best places to eat at and they will also know the best hotels in the area. You’ll want to ask them for help in planning your trip and they will be glad to assist you.

They will also know the latest events that are taking place in Chicago as well as the weather patterns and traffic patterns. With all the information they have available for you your trip will be a breeze.

Stop in the tourist center. It’s a wealth of information about Chicago at your fingertips.

If you are travelling to Chicago during the winter months please pack lots of warm clothing to protect you from the elements. That means heavy pants and sweaters and coasts, gloves and scarves. It’s still a beautiful time to visit, but you need to have the necessary garments along with you. You will also want to pack well if you are visiting during the fall months, too. Spring and summer are milder in Chicago and those may be the best times of the year to travel there.

You’ll also want to be prepared for the wind in Chicago. It can really kick up so bring along a hat, too. The average temperature in Chicago is 49.8.

Whichever time of the year you plan to visit be sure to pack the things you’ll need. Then get ready to enjoy the wonderful city of Chicago.

To enjoy the Attractions you should invest in a Chicago Go Card. There are 2, 3, 5 and 7 day Go Cards which allow you get to 25 top attractions and good deals on restaurants and for some shopping. A one day card is about $50 for an adult and about $40 for a child aged 3 to 12 years. Attractions cover the Planetarium, Sears Tower Sky Deck, The Museum of Science and Industry and many more top attractions.
